Abrasion-Resistant FIBC Bulk Bags Reduced Replacement Costs for a German Industrial Operator

A large industrial minerals and mining operation in Germany was consuming bulk bags at an unsustainable rate. Their existing 

FIBC bags suffered from excessive abrasion damage during the loading, transportation, and unloading of abrasive mineral 

concentrates, resulting in frequent bag replacements, product loss, and safety concerns at their processing and logistics 

facilities.

Our engineering team designed a custom FIBC bulk bag specifically engineered for the demanding German industrial 

environment. We specified high-tenacity polypropylene fabric with a specialized abrasion-resistant coating, reinforced lift 

loops with protective sleeves, and heavy-duty corner patches at all critical stress points. The design also incorporates a 

dust-tight filling skirt to minimize product loss during loading and a controlled discharge spout for safe, efficient emptying. 

The bags are fully certified to meet European FIBC safety standards.

We conducted extensive field trials at the client's facility to validate performance under real operating conditions. 

After switching to our abrasion-resistant FIBC bags, the client achieved a 60% increase in bag service life and a 

corresponding reduction in Packaging costs per ton of material handled, while also improving workplace safety 

through more reliable bag performance.
