Two to four paper plies are glued into a tube, then fitted with a block bottom and a pasted valve sleeve. The printed outer ply carries brand, grade and the compliance block; the inner plies provide strength and, where specified, a PE-coated layer for moisture resistance. Glue lines are the weak point of any paper bag, so the bottom and the longitudinal seam are the two areas checked hardest at the end of the line.
